N-TERFACE® Face Mask
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR
N-TERFACE® PRECUT FULL FACE MASK
Following are suggested instructions for use. Physician established protocol for post laser skin resurfacing wound care should be followed.
The N-TERFACE Full Face Mask is a three part mask that consists of a nose, chin a full face overlay with precut openings for the eyes, nose and mouth.
- Apply ointment/cream to entire laser resurfaced area before applying the N-TERFACE Full Face Mask.
The N-TERFACE Material should extend beyond the laser resurfaced area by at least one/half inch minimum. This will insure protection for all resurfaced areas.
- Apply nosepiece. Trim excess material from bottom and top of nosepiece. Apply additional ointments/creams
- Apply chin piece with curved edge to bottom of lower lip. Chin piece should extend beyond the chin area to overlap with the mouth opening when full face mask overlay is applied in step 4. Trim excess material. Apply ointment/cream through the N-TERFACE Material.
- Position and apply full face mask overlay on eyes and nose. Trim eye openings for a custom fit. Nose opening can lengthened if needed to aid in conforming mask to face. Trim mouth opening to allow for freedom of movement and ability to eat. Apply ointment/cream to skin through N-TERFACE Material.
- Position absorbent gauze as needed.
- Apply flexible tubular stretch netting to hold gauze and mask in place. Cut ear, eye, nose and mouth openings in netting. If patient experiences discomfort from netting, it can be removed and mask worn without fixation if patient's movement is restricted. Patient can easily reposition mask if needed.
Patients should be instructed to apply the ointments/creams through the N-TERFACE and maintain sufficient levels at all times. Patients may cleanse with water or mild cleanser through the N-TERFACE Mask.
Patients should be shown how to apply ointment/cream in a left to right motion to avoid tearing the N-TERFACE Mask. If patient lets skin/ N-TERFACE become dry, cleanse through N-TERFACE and remove any crusting which may have occurred. Apply moisturizing ointment to skin/N-TERFACE and let sit to loosen
